Education Societies

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics: This would be a society I would join because I want to be a math teacher and it would only be right if I'm in this society. Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School (MTMS) focuses on intuitive, exploratory investigations that use informal reasoning to help students develop a strong conceptual basis that leads to greater mathematical abstraction. This is exactly what I want my students to get out of my class. The three things this will do for me professionally is that I will have other teachers minds thinking in the same way to better the students, also all teachers will be on the same criteria, and having a better teaching society to help the stuents carry on their math experience and push them to continue on with the math concepts.

Alice Gaming

My learning experience with this game was a very interesting one. It is very difficult, more difficult than what I want my students to experience. It took to much time to figure out certain techniques. Also, I couldn't really use this because I wouldn't want to spend all my time trying to put the game together for something as simple as having games that already has those materials. Other than those flaws it was a neat experience to see those other examples, in the fact that all those codes made up a collaborative and fun game.

Feedback

The feedback that goes with my learning ability are both the oral and written part of this. The reason for that being is because  I would like to go back and make sure that I am on the right track towards improving what I need to so that others can understand the point I am trying to get across. Another reason why written feedback works well is because you make those changes and then can see if someone else thinks the same way the other person did on your presentation. On the other hand, oral is a good feedback as well because it gives you that one on one sense of what they understand. Also, giving oral feedback is also a quick way to get a response back from your peers and teachers and you might also get a better sense of what you need to do improve.

Multiple Intelligence

Today in class we learned about which of the nine multiple intelligence we were. I knew that my two strong points in the questionaire would be in math and body movement. I like to move a lot and also like numbers more than anything so this just showed that it was true. The thing i found interesting about this excercise is that it gave you different question and it sound familiar but it was put in a different way. The struggles that I had with it were that the graphs did not want to cooperate with what I was trying to do. In the end this was a good and fun activity and I will eventually use this as one of the ways my kids can use this in a classroom setting.

Furthering The Blog Experience

With my prior blog post I would expand the resources for the help of the students. After a few tries with them asking their fellow peers and looking at other sites at trying to figure how to navigate through. I would give them a hint on how to get to what they are trying to instead of showing them exactly what to do. With doing that would still give them that independence but just lead them into the direction that they need to be going towards.
My first blog for my students would deal with them showing their creative side, and things like a personality activity which isn't hard to do. Its simple, fun, and also you will be learning how to blog during the process. Also they would have a fun and exploring blog every morning to let them understand blogging and its concepts.

Blog Experience

The experience that I am having with my first blog is a learning experience. In high school, we didnt have many computers so learning these things are somewhat new to me, but its a interesting experience.
How I might set up a blog for my future students is to show  them how to set up the email, show them the steps on getting into and navigating through the system. Then let them try and go through the blogging system alone so they couold get the feel of doing it them self. Once they do that if they have any questions about anything I would go over what they have asked help on.
My goal for them would to understand how to work on using blogs in a educational way. Also, how to navigate throughout the sytem without having to ask for any help or let them figure out how to understand what they are trying to get to.
I would know how they navigate it by going by them one at a time and asking them do to a certain part of the blogging and if they dont understand it, I would just go back over it and help them understand what they missed or just dont get.
